Shine the Earth but do not burn it

The lighting industry’s conspicuous deceit in concealing the multiple health hazards bulbs, constantly increase Hazardous lighting throughout the world.
New research shows: ecological compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs can be injurious to your skin. There are many people who have upheaval from older luminous bulbs to CFL bulbs in order to preserve power. But these energy-saving light bulbs (CFLs) discharge deadly quantity of mercury when broken, caused severe health diseases.
Diseases caused by Hazardous lighting:
Followings are the diseases caused by erroneous demolition of fluorescent lamps and by other unpredictable illumination:
Ø  Mercury poisoning (also known as hydrargyria or mercurialism)
Ø  Visionary problem
Ø  Water contaminated diseases and many more.
What could be the safeguards?
To prevent this Hazardous lighting it is very essential
Ø  to break and cleanup all the expired CFLs bulbs very carefully;
Ø  properly need to dispose the bulbs and recycle it; and
Ø  Of course industry should work on to produce safer bulbs to prevent this Hazardous lighting.

How to break and cleanup?
Though the amount of mercury is very nominal inside the CFL bulbs still it is required to handle very attentively to avoid any mishap. It will be best if the person follows EPA’s five steps break and cleanup instruction for the CFLs. These are as follows:

Ø  Ventilate the area for a quarter of an hour;
Ø  Wear gloves;
Ø  Use pipe line to lift the debris from a carpet;
Ø  Don’t use a vacuum cleaner, as that will only increase the complication; and
Ø  Immediately dispose the vacuum bag while you vacuum the area.

Industry working on safer bulbs

Most of the electrical manufacturers group, confirmed that proper disposition and recycling are complex measure to avoid the problem. Keeping in mind the energy-efficiency of the fluorescent bulbs it is fundamental to make them completely safe. The world’s largest maker of traditional bulbs started to produce a new high-efficiency radiant bulb that will be four times as efficient as CFL bulbs and will strictly opposing fluorescent bulbs for competence, with no mercury.

Options for secure reuse

Generally, broken bulbs and their remnant should be recycled to bypass Hazardous lighting. Unfortunately, there are very few states and countries where the process can be done. California, Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin are the places where safe recycling of CFLs is present. In fact, qualified places to recycle CFLs are so few that it is very tough to avoid its alarming consequence.

We will certainly be the witness of a glowing and safe earth to stay in without any wrangle caused by unhealthy illumination.
